I got a wonderful opportunity to help out at the Millrose Games in NYC this past weekend. It was great to be able to attend an indoor track meet with professional racing (many of them breaking American, collegiate, or high school records in the process) around a sold out crowd of more than 4000 people (not including competitors). It was also great to be able to walk up to these Olympians and ask for photos or autographs. It was an amazingly fun night. If you want to get a summary of the meet, check out this link from LetsRun.com
I was wondering this morning though of how many people in the community follow professional running (track and field, cross country, road racing, trail racing) outside of the Olympics. Would anyone here ever be interested in attending a professional race to watch as a fan? Just curious.
